kalo Qurbani ghosh — black Qurbani beef: This is a traditional Ramadan dish in Bangladesh — the cows slaughtered at the Eid festival are often cooked in this style, slowly over a low heat until the beef blackens, looking almost burnt.

creamy onion dahl

prawn & bean bhartha (mash)

begun bhartha — aubergine mash with coriander, mustard oil and onions

pineapple and peanut salad

homemade tomato and chilli chutney

pulao rice

to sweeten

homemade shortbread, roasted figs, creme fraiche, honey

to drink

homemade ice lemonade

fresh mint tea

and to take home….
