Menu: The Eid Commune — September 1st (Thursday)

Here is an idea of what we are planning for this Thursday, with some final tweaks!

to start

Typical Bengali iftar foods (foods we traditionally break fast with):
“Beguni” (aubergine fritter)
“Piyajoo” (onion fritter)
“Chola” (small chickpeas curry stir-fry)

Haleem soup (lentil and beef stew)

to follow

Rajasthani Goat Curry “Lal Mas”
Sweet and Spicy mango salad
Onion Dahl
“Begun bhartha” (aubergine mash)
served with pilao rice

Yemeni Coffee brewed from coffee husks

to sweeten

salted Gula Melaka ice cream

OR

homemade giant chocolate chunk cookie with a shot of milk

(still trying to decide which one!)
