Menu: Commune 13 (June 11)

This menu is for a private dinner I am throwing this weekend. The group requested for a half-vegetarian menu!

To Start

Stuffed jalapenos (vegetarian/beef)

Sticky Coconut Rice stuffed with Goan green chilli chicken

To Follow

Yam & Coconut ‘bhartha’ (vegetarian)
seed of jackfruit stir-fry (vegetarian)

sambal egg (vegetarian)

Mama’s Ileesh (fish) — The Ileesh is the most popular fish among Bengalis. My mother cooks her version in a slow-method style to the point where even the bones of the fish become so soft, they are completely edible.

Peanut and Pineapple Salad  (vegetarian)

To Sweeten

Pumpkin Custard (vegetarian)
