Greeting fans of underground dining in Singapore,
I am delighted to inform you that from May 2011, my underground restaurant, Khana Commune will be running once a week. Having previously held an average of 2 dinners a month, this very exciting expansion means more opportunities for you to come feast on home-cooked Bengali cuisine.
How it works: Every other week, I will continue to throw a Khana Commune open to one and all. 14 people will come together once every fortnight to dine with new friends and bond with strangers over a unique supper clubbing experience. These dates will be regularly published and updated on my blog.
The remaining weeks in between will be set aside for private and group bookings. Private bookings range from a birthday celebration with 8-14 of your friends to simply requesting a specially designed menu. Follow a vegetarian or pescatarian diet? Gather 8 people together for a group booking and I will devote an evening to all things non-carnivorous. Your group booking can either be completely private or be open to the public as well, as long as they’re willing to eat your specially requested menu 🙂

In one place you can find out about all the underground events happening in Singapore, whether at Khana Commune or the latest supper club sprouting up in another corner of our awesome city. Fans of underground dining will be able to view, at a glance, an events calender displaying all the upcoming dinners taking place in the near future. So stay tuned!
